My future profession

Today there are thousands of different kinds of jobs, and new ones are constantly appearing. No wonder that it is not an easy thing to make the right choice.

When choosing a future career, we should consider different factors. In my opinion, money is one of the most important factors when you make a choice. There are highly paid jobs and low-paid jobs. I think everybody wants to earn as much money as possible. Training, promotional prospects and working conditions should be also taken into account.

On the other hand, it's good when you get satisfaction from your job. It is very important to choose a profession that suits your interests. In my opinion, a job should be interesting and socially important. 

As for me, I have always been interested in economics and I am good at Maths. I have an aptitude for working with people, and I think I'm rather communicative and have good social skills. I have good analytical abilities and I am good at problem-solving. Besides, I am good at English. It is very important for a specialist in business matters to be a skillful user of computers and to speak at least one foreign language. English is the most popular language of international business communication. To know English today is absolutely necessary for every businessman. You'll be able to follow business developments in the world by listening to radio and TV news, by reading newspapers or magazines, or by getting in contact with your business partners abroad. To become a successful businessman you should know a lot. 

Economics is the science of making choices, which is based upon the facts of our everyday life. Economists study our everyday life and the system, which affects it. They try to describe the facts of the economy in which we live and to explain how the system works. The science of economics is concerned with all our material needs and wants.

Being an economist I could work for a big international company, run my own company, write about economics as a financial journalist, or just raise money for charities.

It’s not a secret that our country is now through a difficult period of time. That’s why it’s very important for our country to have efficient economists to raise our economy at a high level.

I hope that I’ll be a good economist. Like many other people I would like to spend a year abroad working as an economist. It would give me an opportunity to borrow the experience and to see the world.
